We found 8 small puppies, apparently abandoned by their mother, along the side of the road. It was late at night so we fed them and went back in the morning. There were only 6 puppies left, along with a very large snake. We have taken the 6 into the shelter and they have started vaccinations. We will keep looking for the other two.

Leo has had a rough life. At a few weeks old he was bitten by a centipede and then came down with distemper, which severely damaged his nervous system. People recommended we put him down but we have stuck with him and after 17 months he is now, finally, getting to be a dog.

Lynne Wilson came by for a visit and to bring gifts, 2 large bags of towels and 4 bags of dog food. Lynne was particularly interested in visiting Sasha, Biscuit and Freddie, who have been living with us for over 1 year. Lynne had been feeding them for 4 years. She was out of the country when we took them in due to threats made against them by the condo's security and did not know where they were until recently. Thank you for the visit, the gifts and your care and concern for these three lovely dogs.

The new vet clinic at our shelter was officially christened yesterday when Dr. Kwanchai, from the Pattaya Animal Hospital, performed 7 sterilization surgeries, 3 male 4 female. Dr. Kwanchai had advised us on the facilities required and inspected the clinic a couple of weeks ago, declaring it ready to go. Thank you so much Dr. Kwanchai for your time and help.

The 11 puppies and 2 mother that we brought to the shelter are settling in nicely. Better than we expected. So far they have gotten along well with the other dogs and seem comfortable in their new home. The mothers will be spayed soon and their original owners have asked that we return them.

Here are a few pictures of their first day at the shelter. They are putting a heavy load on our resources and we again ask for your help. Please donate at http://hopeforstrays.org/dog-rescue-donations/

We were alerted by visitor Grace Fong to 12 puppies in need. Over the past two days we have been getting them all their first vaccination and deworming as well as an examination and testing by a team of vets. We have vaccinated the 2 mothers as well. Once they receive their second vaccination in about 2 weeks we will bring them to the shelter and have the mothers spayed. The pups are currently being looked out for by the kind couple shown in the photos, but they do not have the resources to address the medical side. Grace has generously donated some of the money required to care for their two litters and moms. We ask for your help so that they can receive all the care they deserve. The attached video is a short tour of our new shelter. We need your help to complete the shelter, especially the vet clinic, an additional kennel area and trees for shade and noise suppression. If you would like to help us complete this facility, please donate on our donations page. We would really appreciate it.

The shelter is nearing completion, despite all the rain. The kennel areas, including the isolation kennels are basically complete. The vet clinic room is done except for the lighting and some plumbing. The kitchen area is missing a sink and the office needs a window. There is still quite a bit of clean up work but it is getting there.

We still need your help to pay all the bills. Please donate at hopeforstrays.org
