We found 8 small puppies, apparently abandoned by their mother, along the side of the road. It was late at night so we fed them and went back in the morning. There were only 6 puppies left, along with a very large snake. We have taken the 6 into the shelter and they have started vaccinations. We will keep looking for the other two.
Leo has had a rough life. At a few weeks old he was bitten by a centipede and then came down with distemper, which severely damaged his nervous system. People recommended we put him down but we have stuck with him and after 17 months he is now, finally, getting to be a dog.
